Phattire video

Last Sunday, while riding at Sprain Ridge Park I took some footage with my iPhone (3GS). This involved perching my phone atop rocks and logs, held fast by small twigs and pebbles. An iPhone tripod would have been really nice although goes against my low-tech intentions. Once I had the phone precariously balanced I'd grab my bike, ride through the scene, and double back for the camera. I did this about ten times until my battery was just about dead. To make the most of my footage I added the "out takes" and camera grabs. At any rate, enjoy.

Yeah I took all of the footage with my iphone 3GS. I was surprised as well. I also had no idea my blog was picked as a Blog of Note either lol... thanks!

Home with a bad cold, that's somewhat of a pick-me-up!

Congratulations on being BON! This video makes me miss my little brother. He was a hugh outdoorsman and biker and hiker. Thanks for the memories. And to think you did this with an iPhone. Cool.

You have some awesome photography and content on your blog. I know nothing about biking as you do it. But it was incredible to see the area you bike, the other beautiful photographs such as your 32nd birthday day. Congratulations on your Blog of Note. I'm very impressed with your blog and will be returning.

Great video with an iphone. Interesting to view. I hope that wasn't poison ivy that you were riding through at one point. Sorry you have a cold. Get better soon so you can add more video!

Ah, I too often find myself at a loss for what to do without a proper tripod. Love the quality for this vid... wish I could have as much success with a mobile device, iphone or otherwise. I'm also envious of your sick biking skills. I've been out biking everyday this week and am now spending my evenings applying copious ammounts of aniseptic to various wounds. :) love your blog btw.

I was watching the video, thinking about nothing, then the "out takes" started rolling. Hit a funny bone and have been giggling since. Nice work.

I know it's NY, but the trail looks alot like places here in Seattle.

Congratulations - hope your cold is all better. You need to come to CO to mountain bike - there are some great single tracks - although the ones you've shared here are awesome, too. I had no idea my iPhone could do that!
