Characters

Today was a great day for people watching. (ie: people photographing) I absolutely love my new 50mm f/1.4 lens. It continues to blow my mind. This warm weather seems to have brought characters out of the woodwork down in lower Manhattan.I gave this man a dollar. That's just classic.
This lady was fantastic. What a fine specimen of a NYC creature. I felt it necessary to include this detail view to satisfy your curiosity.

Ha, awesome! Two comments:

1) I think it'd be interesting to see that guy in Black and White. He has that timeless homeless guy look, which may look good in B&W.

2) The detailed view of the woman is great. I like it better than the one that's zoomed out a little. (Sharp lens!) That's one that needs to be color to get those vibrant colors in full effect.

Good stuff, man!

that 50mm f/1.4 prime is, indeed, amazing. I talked mr. lfr into buying one a few months back and we've both been shooting it on our nikon bodies. Seinberg, it's a great lense but I'd have to say that some of the sharpness is in the body as well. the mister's D90 blows my old D70 away in both sharpness and dynamic range even while using the same glass.

Thanks man. Checked out your blog; enjoyed it! Love to get together for a mtb ride sometime. I need to find some more riding friends.
